Chicken Manchurian


Ingredients for chicken Marinade:
  1. Boneless chicken (cut in cubes) 1/2 kg.
  2. Corn Flour 2 tbsp.
  3. Flour 2 tbsp.
  4. Salt 1/2 tsp.
  5. Black pepper crushed 1 tsp.
  6. Soy sauce 1 tbsp.
  7. Egg 1/2
  8. Baking powder 1/2 tsp.
  9. Cooking Oil for deep frying
Ingredients for Sauce:
  1. Onion (chopped) 1
  2. Ginger (chopped) 1tsp.
  3. Garlic (chopped)  1tsp.
  4. Tomatoes (finely chopped) 4
  5. Red chilli crushed 1 tsp.
  6. Chicken stock 2 cups
  7. Tomato ketchup 4 tbsp.
  8. Salt 1/2tsp
  9. Chilli sauce 3 tbsp.
  10. Soy sauce 2 tbsp.
  11. Corn flour 2 tbsp.
  12. Oil 1 tbsp.

Method:

  • Marinade chicken with soy sauce, flour, corn flour, egg, black pepper crushed, salt and baking powder for 5 minutes.
  • Deep fry the chicken pieces.
  • Heat oil in a wok.
  • Add chopped onion, ginger and garlic.
  • Fry for few seconds.
  • Add finely chopped tomatoes.
  • Fry for 2-3 minutes or till tomatoes are soft.
  • In a bowl take chicken stock,  tomato ketchup, red chillies crushed, salt, corn flour, and chilli sauce.
  • Mix well.
  • Pour this mixture in the wok.
  • When the sauce gets thick add fried chicken pieces.
  • Cook for 2 minutes.
  • Take out in a dish.
  • Serve with egg fried rice , garlic rice or noodles .
