Indian shrimp curry

Shrimps cooked in a spicy sauce made with traditional indian spices produces a delicious dish . Can be enjoyed with boiled rice.


  1. Shrimps ½ kg cleaned
  2. Yogurt ½ cup
  3. Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
  4. Chili powder 1 tsp heaped
  5. Turmeric ¼ tsp
  6. Salt 1 tsp
  7. Tomato 2 chopped
  8. Vinegar 2 tbsp
  9. Oil ½ cup
  10. Onion 1 cup chopped
  11. White cumin crushed 1 tsp


  • In a blender blend together yogurt, ginger garlic paste, chili powder, cumin, turmeric, salt, vinegar and tomatoes.
  • Blend to make puree.
  • Heat oil add chopped onion.
  • Fry till light golden.
  • Add blended mixture.
  • Fry till oil comes on top.
  • Add shrimps.
  • Cook on high flame till done about 5 to 7 minutes.
  • Serve with boiled rice .
