Chicken in lemon sauce


Crispy fried chicken in lemon sauce is best to be eaten with egg noodles.

 

Ingredients for marination:

  1. Chicken breast, 2 cut into small cubes)
  2. Beaten egg 1
  3. Flour 1 1/2 tsp
  4. Salt to taste
  5. Baking powder 1tsp
  6. Corn flour 1tbsp
  7. Oil for frying
Ingredients for sauce:
  1. Fresh lemon, squeeze to make juice 2tbsp
  2. Sugar 1tbsp
  3. Lemon leave 6-8
  4. Ginger garlic chopped 1 tsp
  5. Oil 1tbsp
  6. water 1 cup
  7. Corn flour 1tbsp
  8. Yellow food colour a pinch
  9. Chicken powder 1tbsp

Method:

  • Marinate chicken with egg,flour, salt, baking powder and corn flour for 15 minutes.
  • Preheat a pan.
  • Add oil and fry ginger garlic paste for few seconds.
  • Then add half cup water and lemon juice, sugar , lemon leave, yellow food colour,chicken powder and bring to boil.
  • Thicken with the corn starch dissolved in water.(Lemon sauce )
  • In a deep pan heat oil and fry the marinated chicken , until  golden and crispy.
  • Take out the chicken pieces in a dish, pour lemon sauce and garnish with spring onions.
  •  Serve hot.
