Kung pao chicken


Ingredients for marination:

  1. Chicken boneless 1/2 kg.
  2. Sesame seed oil 1tsp.
  3. Corn flour 1 tbsp.
  4. Sugar 1/2 tsp.
  5. Salt 1/2 tsp.
  6. Egg 1/2
  7. Soy sauce 1 tbsp.

Ingredients for sauce:

  1. Soy sauce
  2. Capsicum 1 cup
  3. Carrots 1 cup
  4. Cabbage 1 cup
  5. Peas 1/2 cup
  6. Cauliflower 1 cup
  7. Roasted peanuts  2 tbsp.
  8. Dried red chili whole 8
  9. Sesame seed oil 1 tsp.
  10. Corn flour 2 tbsp. (Dissolve in little water)
  11. Garlic (chopped) 1 tsp.
  12. Chicken powder 1 tbsp.
  13. Red chili crushed 1 tsp.
  14. Oyster sauce 1 tbsp.
  15. Chicken stock 1 cup

Method:

  • Marinade the chicken with soy sauce, corn flour, sesame seed oil, egg, salt and sugar for 10 minutes.
  • Boil cauliflower and peas for 3 minutes.
  • Heat oil in a wok.
  • Fry cauliflower, cabbage, capsicum, peas and carrots for 1 minute.
  • Take them out in a plate.
  • Fry garlic for few seconds.
  • Add whole dried red chilies, roasted peanuts and fry till it change its colour.
  • Now put chicken and cook till done.
  • Put chicken stock, soy sauce, red chili crushed, oyster sauce and chicken powder.
  • Cook till boils.
  • Add the vegetables and dissolved corn flour to make thick.
  • Sprinkle sesame seed oil.
  • Take out in a dish serve with garlic rice, egg fried rice or noodles .
