Chicken Samosas


Ingredients for samosa crust:

  1. All purpose flour (Maida) 1cup
  2. Oil 2tbsp.
  3. Salt 1tsp.
  4. Cumin seeds 1/2 tsp.
  5. Carom Seeds (Ajwain) 1/4 tsp.
  6. Water to Knead dough
  7. Oil for frying

Method:

  • Mix salt, oil, ajwain and cumin seeds in the flour.
  • Add water to make a dough.
  • Knead well for several times into a soft pliable dough.
  • Cover it with moist muslin cloth and keep aside for 15 minutes.

Ingredients for filling:

  1. Boneless chicken 1 cup
  2. Salt 1/2 tsp.
  3. Red chili crushed 1 tsp.
  4. Cumin seeds 1/2 tsp.
  5. Ginger garlic paste 1/2 tsp.
  6. Mint leaves (chopped) 1 tsp.
  7. Green chilies (chopped) 2
  8. Onion (chopped) 1

Method for filling:

  • Boil chicken with salt, red chili crushed,cumin seeds, ginger garlic paste and 1 cup water.
  • Cook till the water dries.
  • Let it cool.
  • Chop it in the chopper to shred the chicken.
  • Add onion,green chilies and mint leaves.
  • Keep aside.

Method for making samosas:

  • Make small balls of dough.
  • Roll it into a round shapped thin chapatti’s.
  • Put the filling on one side of the chapatti.
  • Cover it with the other half.
  • Seal the edge with a drop of oil.
  • It should look like semi circle.
  • Deep fry on medium flame.
  • Serve with chutney.
