Chicken and Cheese Balls


  1. Potatoes (boiled and mashed) 4
  2. Boneless chicken (boiled and shredded) 1 cup
  3. Cheddar cheese (grated) 4 tbsp.
  4. Red chili powder 1/2 tsp.
  5. Black pepper 1/2 tsp.
  6. Chicken powder 1/2 tsp.
  7. Salt 1/2 tsp.
  8. Coriander leaves (finely chopped) 2 tbsp.
  9. Egg (beaten) 2
  10. Bread crumbs 2 cups
  11. All purpose flour (maida) 1 cup
  12. Oil for deep frying
  13. Tooth picks 18-20


  • In a bowl take mashed potatoes, boiled chicken, cheddar cheese, red chili powder, black pepper powder, chicken powder, salt and coriander leaves.
  • Mix well.
  • Make small ball from it.
  • Beat eggs in a bowl and add salt and pepper.
  • Now coat the balls first with all purpose flour, then egg followed by bread crumbs.
  • Repeat this with all the balls.
  • Heat oil in a wok.
  • Deep fry on low heat till golden brown.
  • Take out in a dish put tooth picks.
  • Serve with sauce.

Ingredients for boiled chicken:

  1. Boneless chicken 1 cup
  2. Water 1/2 cup
  3. red chili powder 1/2 tsp.
  4. Salt 1 tsp.
  5. Cumin seeds 1/2 tsp.
  6. Ginger garlic paste 1 tsp.


  • Boil the chicken with water, ginger garlic paste, red chili powder, salt and cumin seeds till water dries up.
  • Cool and shred.
