Chilli Chicken

Ingredients for marination:

  1. Chicken boneless (cut into cubes) 1/2 kg.
  2. Egg 1
  3. Corn flour 2 tbsp.
  4. Flour 1 tbsp.
  5. Soy sauce 1 tbsp.
  6. Black pepper powder 1/2 tsp.
  7. Salt 1/2 tsp.
  8. Sugar 1/2 tsp.
  9. Oil for deep frying

Ingredients for sauce:

  1. Chilli oil 1 tbsp.
  2. Ginger garlic (crushed) 1 tbsp.
  3. Red chilli crushed 1 tbsp.
  4. Worcestershire sauce 1 tbsp.
  5. Soy sauce 2 tbsps.
  6. Chicken powder 1 tsp.
  7. Chicken stock 2 cups
  8. Corn starch 2 tbsps.
  9. Green chillies (cut lengthwise) 8-10


  • Marinade the chicken with soy sauce, sugar, salt, black pepper powder, flour and corn flour.
  • Keep aside for 15 minutes.
  • Heat oil in a wok and deep fry till golden brown.
  • For sauce: Put chilli oil in a wok.
  • Add  ginger garlic crushed fry for few seconds.
  • Then put crushed red chilli.
  • Stir and add chicken stock.
  • Bring to boil, then add soy sauce, worcestershire sauce and  chicken powder.
  • Dissolve corn flour in little water.
  • Add this to the sauce.
  • When the sauce gets thick add fried chicken and green chillies.
  • Cook for 2 minutes.
  • Take out in a dish.
  • Serve with egg fried rice.
