Aloo Mutter (Potatoes with Peas)


  1. Potatoes 3
  2. Peas 1/2 cup
  3. Salt 1 1/2 tsp.
  4. Green chillies 3-4
  5. Onions (sliced) 2
  6. Ginger garlic paste 1 tsp.
  7. All spice powder (garam masala powder) 1/2 tsp.
  8. Tomatoes (finely chopped) 3
  9. Red chilli powder 1 tsp.
  10. Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp.
  11. Cumin seeds 1/2 tsp.
  12. Oil 2 tbsp.


  • Heat oil in a pan.
  • Add onions and fry till light brown.
  • Put tomatoes, ginger garlic paste, salt, cumin seeds, all spice powder, turmeric powder and red chilli powder.
  • Mix and cook till the tomatoes are soft and masala is formed.
  • Add peas, potatoes and green chillies.
  • Cover and cook on low heat for 20-30 minutes or till potatoes are soft.
  • Take out in a dish serve with roti or rice.
