Bohra Badami Chicken Korma


Ingredients:

  1. Chicken 1 kg.
  2. Red chilli powder 1 tsp.
  3. Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp.
  4. Salt 2 tsp.
  5. Onions (chopped) 6
  6. Oil 1/2 cup
  7. Cumin seeds 1 tsp.
  8. Almonds 15-20
  9. Cashew nuts 10
  10. Green chillies 6
  11. Ginger 1/2 inch piece
  12. Garlic 10 cloves
  13. Black cardamom 2
  14. Cloves 6
  15. Cinnamon 1/2 inch piece
  16. Milk 1 cup
  17. Coconut milk 1 cup
  18. Yogurt 1 cup

Method:

  • Blend cumin seeds, almonds, cashew nuts, cloves, black cardamom, cinnamon, ginger and garlic into a fine paste.
  • Heat oil in a pan.
  • Add onions and fry till brown.
  • Add grinded masala paste with 3-4 tbsp. of water.
  • Fry for 3-4 minutes.
  • Add chicken with red chilli powder, turmeric powder and salt.
  • Fry for 2 minutes.
  • Add yogurt and milk.
  • Cover and cook for 20 minutes.
  • Then add coconut milk.
  • Cook for another 10 minutes.
  • Take out in a dish and serve with bread.
