Goan Style Fish Curry


Ingredients:

  1. Fish (Red snapper) 1/2 kg.
  2. Whole coriander 2 tbsp.
  3. Whole dried red chillies 5
  4. Onions ( chopped) 2
  5. Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp.
  6. Turmeric 1/2 tsp.
  7. Tamarind paste 3 tbsp.
  8. Green chillies (finely chopped) 2
  9. Salt 1 1/2 tsp.
  10. Oil 4 tbsp.
  11. Coconut milk 1 can
  12. Curry leaves few

Method:

  • Toast whole coriander and whole red chillies.
  • Grind them.
  • Heat oil in a pan.
  • Add onions and fry till light brown.
  • Put ginger garlic paste, turmeric and grinded spices.
  • Fry for 1 minute.
  • Then add coconut milk, tamarind paste and green chillies.
  • Simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Add fish, curry leaves and salt.
  • Cook for another 3-4 minutes or till the fish is cooked.
  • Take out in a dish serve with boiled rice.
