Mung Daal Soup


Ingredients:

  1. Yellow mung daal 2 cups
  2. Red chilli powder 1/2 tsp.
  3. Salt 1 tsp.
  4. Turmeric 1/4 tsp.
  5. Onion (chopped) 1
  6. Ginger (crushed) 1/2 tsp.
  7. Garlic (crushed) 1/2 tsp.
  8. Green chilli (chopped) 1
  9. Oil 1 tsp.
  10. Water 4-6 cups
  11. Crushed black pepper
  12. Lemon juice 1 tbsp.
  13. Fresh coriander for garnishing

Method:

  • Soak the daal for half an hour.
  • Wash and add water, red chilli powder, salt, turmeric and onions.
  • Boil for 20-30 minutes.
  • Add lemon juice.
  • Heat oil in another pan.
  • Add ginger and garlic.
  • Fry for few seconds.
  • Put in the daal soup.
  • Take out in a serving bowl.
  • Sprinkle crushed black pepper.
  • Garnish with fresh coriander and serve.
