Keema Matar (Mince with Peas)


Ingredients:

  1. Keema (Grounded beef or mutton) 1/2 kg.
  2. Ginger garlic paste 2 tsp.
  3. Onions (sliced) 3
  4. Tomatoes (sliced) 4
  5. Red chilli powder 2 tsp.
  6. Coriander powder 1 1/2 tsp.
  7. Turmeric 1/4 tsp.
  8. Salt 1 1/2 tsp.
  9. Green chillies 6
  10. Peas 1 cup
  11. Water 1/2 cup
  12. Oil 3 tbsp.

Method:

  • Heat oil in a pan.
  • Add onions and fry till light brown.
  • Put keema, ginger garlic paste, red chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric and salt.
  • Mix, cover and cook for 5-10 minutes or till the water dries up.
  • Add tomatoes and cook until they are soft and oil separates.
  • Now put peas and water.
  • Cook on low heat till the peas are tender.
  • Add green chillies.
  • Cook for another 3-4 minutes.
  • Take out in a dish and serve with paratha, chappati, naan, bread or boiled rice.
