Gujrati Kadhi


Ingredients for Kadhi:

  1. Yogurt 2 cups
  2. Salt 1 1/2 tsp.
  3. Gram flour (Besan) 2 tbsp.
  4. Turmeric 1/4 tsp.
  5. Ginger paste 1/2 tsp.
  6. Green chillies 4
  7. Fresh coriander 2 tbsp.

Ingredients for Baghar:

  1. Oil 2 tbsp.
  2. Cumin 1/4 tsp.
  3. Curry leaves few
  4. Mustard seeds 1/4 tsp.

Method:

  • In  a bowl take yogurt.
  • Put turmeric, salt and gram flour.
  • Mix well.
  • Put 2 cups water and again mix.
  • Grind together ginger, fresh coriander and green chillies.
  • In a pan put the yogurt mixture.
  • Cook on high heat, stirring till it starts to boil.
  • Add grinded green masala and lower the heat.
  • Cook on low heat for 30 minutes or till the khadi gets thick.
  • Heat oil in a frying pan.
  • Add mustard seeds, cumin and curry leaves.
  • Fry for few seconds.
  • Pour on top of Kadhi and serve.
