About My Blog

Hello Visitors !

My name is Sarwat Abbasi. I’m a house wife and good food is my passion. Cooking is an eclectic experience for me, therefore you would find a variety of food in my repertoire of recipes which includes spicy Asian cuisine, healthy and nutritious middle-eastern and Mediterranean dishes and of course a bit of traditional western gastronomic delights.

The  purpose of my blog is to share these culinary experiences with my friends and family members who sometimes act as staunch critics of  my experiments and therefore induce in me an inspirational element to produce the best results.

Most of the time my daughters Ameera and Maha assist me in my kitchen activities. My  husband Adnan Abbasi, being an IT engineer supported me a lot in the overall design and other technical issues with my blog website.

I would like to thank my younger brother Adnan Ghaffar  whose incisive feedback is always there to improve the quality of the food. My niece Shanza’s Spicy chickpeas (cholay) recipe is a boon to my gourmet recipes collection.

My elder brother Imran who lives abroad  used some of the recipes from my blog and was very grateful to me for putting up this website. Also my relatives in U.K.(Eiman,Sadaf and Azar) are keen to try out these recipes.

I would also like to thanks my sister Sadia and sister-in-law  Sobia for sharing their positive views.

Last but not the least  my Mother Zarina Ghaffar’s contribution of  Fish sev , Fish curry and Fish pulao to my collection is most appreciated and my  (Father) Abdul  Ghaffar who is a hobbyist cook added his Delicious Sindhi biryani and Haleem to round up this mix of food recipes.

I hope all you people to enjoy these recipes and put in some constructive feedback . If you like them then share them with your friends and family.

Keep on checking for the updates.

ENJOY  GOOD FOOD  AND TAKE CARE !

  3. Dear Sarwat,
Lovely blog and recipes, I stumbled upon these from facebook today and am absolutely trying out your “bohri chicken” recipe tomorrow. I have a quick question about that recipe. After I marinade the chicken, do I cook it in the pot of milk with all the yogurt marinade or do I just pick up the chicken and add that to the pot??? The marinade is delish (yes I just tasted it) and it would be disastrous to waste it… But I still want to cook it as per your recipe, so pleeeeez clarify this little bit for me before I begin cooking tomorrow 🙂 Thanks soooo much and happy eating!!!!

  4. Hi Annie,
Thanks! for visiting and liking my blog.
Regarding the Bohri Roast Chicken recipe, chicken will be cooked with the yogurt marinade and milk in the pot.It is better to marinade the chicken in the pot so it will be easy for you to just add milk and cook.If you have any other query regarding recipe feel free to ask or have any personal requests you would like to make I will surely look forward to upload them. Take care and enjoy the recipe.
